Naturopathy, Lab Tests, Genetic Health Assesment
Naturopathy is a regulated profession in Ontario, and requires 4 year full time naturopathic medical education and internship in clinic and vigorous set of board examination. Licensed Naturopathic Doctor has a broad scope of practice, which includes modalities such as Life Style and therapeutic Diet modification, Acupuncture, Supplements, Herbal medicine, homeopathy, prescription of Bioidentical Hormones, Therapeutic Devices, comprehensive Lab Test Panels (from Life Labs and other companies) as a part of general or specific health assessment. Additionally, Genetic Analysis can be available which will be looking for genomic variations in your DNA, associated with predisposition to some immune, hormonal, metabolic, detoxification, inflammation, neurotransmitters synthesis, stress response, nutritional and other aspect of your genetic make up. This assessment can also provide recommendations about compensation of genetic deficiencies and mitigating pathological tendencies.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese Herbal Medicine is well known and widely accepted therapy rooted in an ancient tradition dated back to more than 2,500 years. This discipline had a long way to accumulate knowledge and practical experience. Noways, Chinese Herbal Medicine still uses many classical formulations, documented in ancient manuscripts, and active research is ongoing to create modern formulations. In both cases herbs are selected and synergistically combined in a formula following specific old rules to direct effect of the formula to a specific state and area of the body. These formulas are very effective when properly prescribed according to the principles of diagnostic and differentiation within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Acupuncture is probably the most known and used modality of Chinese Medicine (TCM), and it is deeply rooted in TCM traditions and theory. Nowadays, it is also well studied with many scientific publications showing excellent results for wide range of conditions. It is commonly used for many pain syndromes, musculoskeletal conditions, digestive, circulatory, stress, mental-emotional and other problems. Acupuncture is also an excellent tool of prevention of pathology and maintains of good health and vitality.
Cosmetic facial acupuncture is a more modern application of discipline, and it works by improving collagen synthesis, turgor, and circulation in the skin and underlying muscle layer of your face. It is often combined with constitutional or body points to increase general healing effect. You may need at least 6-8 sessions for noticeable improvement or “lifting” effect.
Moxibustion is a kind of heat therapy and it works by activation of your Qi or vital energy. It is done by burning wormwood moxa close to your skin by burning moxa stick or placing moxa wool on your skin protected by some thermal barrier.
Cupping is a great tool to improve general or local circulation, pull out toxins, relieve pain and stagnation in the area. It is most commonly performed over large muscle areas, like back but can be also used very gently over extremities, back f the neck and even face (with a special set of cups).

Herbal Gemmotherapy
Homeopathy is a type of energetic medicine and its action is explained by unique principles such as similimum prescription, or “likes cures likes”. This means that totality of symptoms which can be caused by a particular substance, can also cure similar symptoms in a patient if remedy prescribed in homeopathic dilutions. Such dilutions doesn’t contain any crude substance, but just energetic imprints of original substance on a carrier, which can be pellets of lactose, spring water, or high grade ethanol. Classical Homeopathy, using a single remedy in higher potency at a time, works on deep level and maybe be extremely effective for complex problems if prescribed in accordance with homeopathic principles and laws. Lower potency of homeopathic remedies are less potent and are often used in combination. Complex homeopathic remedies commonly formulated to treat more specific health condition rather than work on totality of symptoms as in Classical Homeopathy.
Gemmotherapy is a branch of phytotherapy which uses highly concentrated biologically active extractions from young shoots and buds of a number of medicinal plants (usually shrubs, trees or vines). Plant buds are collected in spring time when they are in most active state and can be seen as a “plant stem cell therapy” due to their highly potent action. Different remedies have different affinity to organs and tissues and effectively used for wide variety of health conditions.
